I am trying to set the aimbot button to the left trigger on my controller. It accepts keyboard commands but none of the input from my controller

The most I can suggestion is to use a program like xpadder which maps controllers to keys.
Be careful though, only the old version of xpadder is safe to download since the developer added adware or something to the latest release.
